Here’s how to do the software upgrade via My BMW App: Enter the app and find the Remote Software Upgrade menu. Go to Remote Software Upgrade settings and choose the ‘Wi-Fi only’ download. Click on ‘Start download’. When the download is completed connect your phone to your vehicle via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Anonymous. stick the key in the ignition, turn it to the on position, remove it within 5 seconds, then hold the unlock button down and press the lock button 3 times within 10 seconds and release both buttons. The doors should lock/unlock to give you confirmation and your key should work.
