May 31, 2012. #1. Just came across this item on Ebay. Was thinking about purchasing this tuning chip for my 300Tdi EDC Discovery. They say that the item can be returned if the customer isn't happy with the performance. Never heard of this manufacturer, I know that Tunit made chips for the same engine, but they were almost £400.
Pappasmurf said: You can fit a td5 dash to a 300tdi. Infact you can fit a better one from MUD UK, which can fit a double din into. 300tdis are good engines, had loads of experience with them in the Army. You can tune with Turners performance head, 10bhp (ish), VNT or Hybrid turbo and a larger capacity intercooler.Pastycrimper. Settled In. 325. Location:West Cornwall. Posted June 20, 2011. Hi All, My 1997 110 Defender had a replacement 300tdi engine from Turners Engineering after about 50,000miles (It was originally owned by Northern Electricity who blew the original engine up). Given that many parts are engine number related rather than VIN related I I would check it is the turbo and not the stem seals. If it is the stems, then have the head reconned and then refit it, leaving the rest of the engine well enough alone. A standard 300tdi in either auto or manual form is fine for pretty much anything. As said the engine is on 80k, as it had a recon engine at 120k. .
